Gods Tree, spreads more and more!

We are happy about the abundance of species in our Campo, but not about this guest. The dry soils of the olive groves with dry patched terraces filled with their stone rubble in the warm position on Lake Garda are ideal conditions for the gods tree. The aggressively invasive god tree (Ailanthus altissima) can be decimated by excavation. A good method is also harvesting and disposing of the fruit just before ripening. The seeds can fly several 100m wide. Cases and ringing of the larger trees are only partially effective and cause the roots to expel. We take off the small root shoots and seedlings before mowing. Since we control the endangered areas three times a year, the god trees in our Campo never grow larger than half a meter. –> Here is a guide to how to deal with the gods tree.
